NOS Santa Cruz Keith Meek Slasher Skateboard Deck 1986

EBAY GOLD.
An amazing specimen with a cool story go go with it. The seller wrote "Up for auction today is a NOS '86 Santa Cruz Keith Meek "Slasher" skateboard deck. Art by one of the greatest skate/ surf artist ever walk the earth, Jim Phillips. No re-issue here. Straight up real deal. From exchanging details with other deck heads and Meek himself, I've only been able to conclude there are maybe 4 known NOS models floating around. Maybe 3 as I can't tie the one in Phillips art book and the one Meek states he has as the same one. Might be 3. Hens teeth NOS maybe a better description. As well stated was there was probably a run of 20000 done at the time. Not a large number when compared to other Santa Cruz Models. This to some is most assuredly a hole in their NOS Santa Cruz collection. Few storage marks. But nothing otherwise that would turn you off. Tight.".
Currently selling for $676.00 with 15 bids and less than two days here.

  3. Looking for some history on this board. I have a ORIGINAL foam airtech slasher. Can't find much info on the worth. Ruined soo many old skates in the 80's but knew this board was a shit to ride. It was a cool board so it stayed in the closet for years. It has the sticker that I was told was a proto till the silk screen model.Does anybody have info or intest.

  4. The Slasher airtech deck that had the decals used instead of screen printing came after the screen printed airtechs.

  6. I have this deck, complete. I ride it all the time because its my style, I'm 36. Kids at the skate parks these days don't even have a clue. I grew up skating Derby Park in Santa Cruz. I just got a new Long board set-up, and put the old Slasher up on e-bay. starting bid $5.00. Maybe its better in a collection, I love to ride it! Live to Ride, Ride to Live.
