In Bed with a Woodpecker

This is a custom bed head board I painted for my buddy Sam as a thank you for taking me on the all expenses paid trip to Puerto Rico that he won. The two of us are huge Raising Arizona fans and this is a tribute to the tattoo's H.I. McDunnough and Leonard Smalls have in the movie.

Evoker - Toy Machine Tribute Sticker

Growing up as a little skate rat in the 90's, I feel like Toy Machine's team was one of the biggest influences of my skateboarding career. I watched my VHS copy of "Welcome to Hell" so many times that I wore the tape into almost complete snow. The Jamie Thomas part alone got me to be a huge Iron Maiden fan as well as got me to grow my hair out. A part that I still, to this day, feel changed skateboarding forever.

So here is my tribute, to the sweat, the blood, the amazing Ed Templeton art and the inspiration a small group of young skateboarders gave to the rest of the world.

So thank you Ed Templeton, Jamie Thomas and the rest of the OG Toy Machine crew. You guys inspired a whole generation of young kids to throw themselves down stairs in hopes of living up to your legacy. Respect due.

Surface Area Magazine

The creative minds behind Peel Magazine and Robots Will Kill have combined their talents and launched a new print magazine called Surface Area. The first issue released yesterday and not only am I featured in it, but as a total surprise I'm featured on the cover. Issue #1 is 40 pages, 1/2 size, b&w offset printed, poly bagged, limited to 250 copies, includes approximately 12 stickers and can be purchased here.

Between the excitement of going to Puerto Rico and the Friends with Benefits show I almost forgot to post these photos I shot at the opening of "Quigley's Magic Show". I have been a huge fan of Gunsho's work for a while now and it was a complete pleasure to see some of his new stuff in person.
