A letter from Poe

It was great to finally meeting Ryan at the opening of little green men. It was also fun talking about art and freehand painting and computers. I told him that my girls love his 'pirate' sticker but I did not realize how much until the following morning. After the opening I came home and dropped the pirate sticker on the kitchen counter and went to bed. The next day my 8 year old presented me with her take on the sticker. Apparently that morning she woke up, saw it and started drawing. Me being half awake and sleepy eyed, I just assumed that she had traced it. But as I cleared the sleep from my eyes and looked more closely, I realized she had not. I asked her if she had indeed traced it. She said "nope" and walked off to play. See attached drawing. I love this story, because this is almost exactly what I did when I copied Pushead's original drawing.

It's not on the poster, but this show will also feature me drinking beers with no affiliation to Red Storm ot the art work at all.

Elmo's Duck

Dear Elmo's, I am a regular and enthusiastic patron of your fine establishment. Whenever family comes to town, I love taking them to eat there. The kids always have a great time coloring in Elmo Duck during the course of our meal and I love that he has become part of a tradition. As a local cartoonist, I took my hand at drawing Elmo Duck in hopes that children can have the same fun coloring in this one as they do the original. In no way have I created this to take the place of such an iconic figure, instead I hope that mine acts as a compliment and addition to the family. Thank you for your time, Ryan

7ply Color Samples

These are the color samples I came up with for the new 7ply boards. I am almost positive we are going to go with the black one, which is A OK with me.
