New Mike Giant Prints

Mike Giant put out these new prints of old skateboard art this week, I think the Iron Maiden ones are from about a month ago. I have been a huge fan of Mike's work for years and love these prints, but $70 for a one color print seems a little pricey to me. I they were $40 I would have probably gotten all of them.

Fish McGill

Fish has a show tonight in Davis Square. If you go down there I might see you.

If you have a shoe size under men's 6 this is your lucky day! One eBay seller has a ton of NOS Airwalks but they are all small sizes. See more here http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/goldpresent

Swordboard!

Santa Cruz has been coming out with some pretty crazy shit lately and this Guzman Swordboard is no exception. Imagine getting a snake bite from this thing, it would ruin your whole month. Check out this link to footage of Guzman and Neil Heddings shredding this thing.

Jason Lee talks about turning down the 101 Devil Board

About a week ago I was talking about how Steve Rocco had offered Jason Lee a ton of money to use the Natas 101 devil board graphic and how he refused it. This is a clip from "The Man Who Sold the World" with all of them talking about it.

LAB BOSTON

On Saturday I went down to Lab Boston and painted their windows for them. Afterwards I went on a crazy drinking excursion with one of the owners Todd. If you ever get the chance I recommend going out drinking with him. You never know whats going to happen, It will be the time of your life and your usually VIP. Dude should only wear t-shirts that say party animal on them.
Side note: Make sure you have the next day off to recover.

RATTUS

This is a new Rattus deck from Pocket Pistols. It's pretty hard to find any info or pictures on these but this was what I managed to dig up. Word has it that there were 60 black top Natas blanks from 89 sitting around the Santa Cruz factory and that's what they printed these graphics on. Super limited release of 60 boards with new graphic by Jim Phillips. Retails at $150, but good luck finding one.
If anyone has any better images of this board I would love to see them.

Andy Howell

These are a few selections from Andy Howell's book "Art, Skateboarding and Life"
Andy Howell was easily my favorite artist growing up. I learned my use of line weight from from looking at the old graphics he did for New Deal and Element.

Ross Goodman

Another eBay find, Ross Goodman by Santa Cruz. It's not in their book, but I believe the graphic was done by someone a Phillips Studios. I haven't seen this deck in years which makes think it's pretty rare. It's going for $270 with 9 days left. The best part of this board is the inscription on the grave stone that reads "Goodman, We knew him well and he sucked".

Natas 101 Devil Board

I found this gem on eBay this morning with a buy it now price of $5000. This was what the description said.
"Natas Kaupas 101 devil worship art done by Marc Mckee, one of the holy grails in skateboarding, these are rare in any condition let alone near mint. Only a hand full exist and the collectors that have them will never sell. Board is NOS (new old stock) never set up or gripped and no touch ups of any kind, this same board sold in 2004 for $5366.69 and is listed on AOS and in disposable. Good luck and check out my other auctions".

Geek fact:
This board was supposed to be a Jason Lee pro model. Rocco apparently offered him a shit load of $ for him to accept this as his board, but in the end he turned it down for personal reasons.
