1987 VISION PSYCHO STICK SKATEBOARD MINI
This is a 1987 Vision Psycho Stick Mini. I recently read that this graphic was based on a photo of one of the artist's, Andy Takakjian's, friends. Word has it that the success of this board jinxed his friend and he lost all of his hair shortly after. Poor guy, but at least he has one of the most iconic skateboard graphics of all time to remember it by.
Currently selling for $399.99 with no bids and 1 day to go here.

Powell Peralta Tommy Guerrero dagger skateboard
I know I have featured this board before, but this has to be the best colorway I have ever seen it in. This thing is absolutely stunning! Black dipped, yellow/orange flames, a blue dagger and a gold winged ripper on top. Currently selling for $207.50 with 20 bids and 5 days to go here. It would not surprise me if this baby sold for over a grand.
On a related note does anyone know why Powell has not re released any of the Guerrero models yet. I'm betting there is a pretty good story why.

New Mike Giant book COUP D’ÉTAT
Mike Giant has a new book called “COUP D’ÉTAT”. I'm a huge fan of his other books and have a feeling this one won't disappoint. This is what the Rebel 8 blog had to say about it.
"After the amazing success of Mike Giant’s book MUERTE of the Drago 36 Chambers series here comes the new bestseller of one of the most famous tattoo artist that turned into fine art, graffiti and pop culture. His style in this book “COUP D’ÉTAT” shows a new side, combining his new artworks with his new passion – photography. The urban art movement is the only avant-garde movement of today’s world that reflects the leading global pop imaginary that connects street and internet. Mike Giant created a global network that reflects the taste of the street with the finesse of fine art. The book is published in occasion of his exhibition at the Magda Danysz Gallery in Paris from April 25th to May 23rd 2009 together with his friend Dalek.
Hardcover: 44 pages"
Signed hard cover available now for $70 here or you can wait till September 15th and get the soft cover on Amazon for $21.78.

Newer Classic Skateboard Graphics
I usually only show older skateboard graphics on here, but I have recently decided to start posting newer boards that I think will be classics in the years to come. These are my first selections.
Bueno- Shiloh Greathouse
Artist- Micheal Sieben
Toy Machine- Fists
Artists- Ed Templeton
On another note I was wondering if someone could make a website that showcases all boards new and old. Or if someone would like to pay me to do it. Artofskateboarding.com does a pretty good job with the old stuff, but I feel they kind of look over the new stuff a little. Also alot of there pictures are tiny and you can't save them.

Mike Vallely World Industries Barnyard
Not only was this Marc Mckee's first deck graphic, this was also the first deck Rodney Mullen did the shape for. Never mounted, never gripped with a buy it now price of $3000 here. Looks pretty legit to me, but it always makes me wary when a seller writes "ALL SALES ARE FINAL".

The Mobernists
My friend Christian Roth from Mob Skateboards has put together an amazing documentary about art and skateboarding called The Mobernists. It is in two parts and runs around 50 minutes. Part 1 features Don Pendeleton and Eli Gessner. Part 2 features the London Police, Michael Leon, Dalek and Dave the Chimp. This is one of the best things I have seen in a while and a definite must watch for any skateboard art fans. The website is in German, but don't worry the video is in English. So, sit back and enjoy the video here.

OG Skateboard Art
I stole these pictures of original skateboard art from bobshirts.com today. If you've never been there take a minute and check it out. They have more of this original art and a super good photo collection of old World, Blind, 101, Chocolate, Planet Earth and Real boards. They also have a bunch of old Big Brother interviews and a ton of old video parts. It's a good way to waste some time.

The Disposable Skateboard Bible
Sean Cliver has a new skateboard graphic book releasing some time this month. If it is half as good as the last one it should be insanely awesome. This is what Amazon's review had to say about it.
"With the release of Disposable - A History of Skateboard Art in 2004, author Sean Cliver made a brilliant attempt at artfully cataloging every important skateboard deck ever released. In the process, he created a classic, but was left feeling less than satisfied. Ever the completist, the gaping omissions in the first book gnawed at him and drove him to envision compiling the ultimate encyclopedia of Skateboard decks. While Disposable was beautiful, capturing the essence of the aesthetic, The Disposable Skateboard Bible sets out to be the ultimate guide. The author's industry insider status (mesmerized by his first visit to a skate shop in 1986 he went all out and in 1989, landed his first job as a designer at Powell-Peralta) allows him to guide readers through the culture and experience, the art and the mania of the skate world with authority and expertise. While the boards take center stage, fascinating vignettes and recollections by an A-list of skateboarding personalities from Tony Hawk to Mike Vallely, Mark Gonzales to Mark "Gator" Rogowski, Steve Caballero to Stacy Peralta and more. "

Sweet Jean Jacket Dude!
Wanna become a instant bad ass? Here is your chance. All you have to do is buy this vintage Levi's jean vest bedazzled with a ton of old school tuff guy patches and custom Gator art work back patch. Currently selling for $26.00 here. Not to mention the pricey $17.15 shipping cost that must take it to the moon before reaching your house.
