Ghost of MJ?

About two minutes after getting into work this morning my co-worker Shaw frantically ran in my office with this note that read "Do you hear about Michael J. GHOST?" Shaw is hearing impaired and I don't speak sign language so well, so communication is tuff sometimes. After a couple minutes of him trying to act out what he was talking about and me not really following he went over to my computer and pulled up this video. The video is apparently of Micheal Jackson's Ghost on a walk through of the Never land Ranch. I think it's just someone's shadow, but he seemed 100% certain it was real. Take a look and decide for yourself.

1989 Santa Cruz Street Creep Skull TEAM DECK

Check out the color scheme on this original 1989 Santa Cruz Street Creep Skull TEAM DECK. This thing is cherry! Here's what the seller had to say about it.
"Never Gripped or Mounted. One of the sickest decks ever created and many collectors have asked me to sell it, so here it is. I have not seen a ORIGINAL Santa Cruz Oops Face Team Deck on Ebay let alone a NOS never gripped or mounted example like this one.THIS IS NOT A RE-ISSUE. This deck was created by the masterpiece artist Jim Phillips for Santa Cruz . It is still in its original shrink wrap and 100% authentic and not a reproduction.IT STILL HAS THE WARRANTY CARD INSIDE FROM 1989 !"
Currently selling for $710 with 5 days left here. Hopefully the seller will buy a new camera with that money.

Mark Bode Broad Prototype

Possible EBAY GOLD?
After reading the short description it's obvious that the seller of this item must not know a lot about it, but this appears to be a Bode Broad toy prototype by Vaughn/Mark bode. Mark is the son of the legendary Vaughn Bode and has been continuing to create some of the same characters his father used to draw before his passing. This thing looks absolutely amazing and could easily be the prize of almost anyone's collection! I do have a few problems with the listing though. How big is it? Where did it come from? If it was made in China and Marks from New York, what the hell is it doing in Germany? It looks pretty legit to me, but I would definitely ask the seller a ton of more questions before forking over $699 here.

Ed Templeton OG TV Skateboard Deck Artwork

EBAY GOLD.
This is the original painting Ed Templeton made for one of Mike Valley's deck graphics when he rode for TV Skateboards. Here is what the seller had to say about it.
"Up for auction is an original Ed Templeton painting signed and dated 1992. It measures 15" x 40". I don't know what type of paint was used. It was painted on chip board. The image was used as a skateboard graphic for Ed's first company called "television". When I was given this painting in the late 90's I was told that it had to be cut in half in order to be scanned properly. Sounds totally nuts to me but it definitely has been cut in half. Perfectly too. See photos. When framed it is not very noticeable that it is 2 pieces. It could be fixed professionally so that it's perfect and seamless. There is some puckering where it got moist at some point in storage and warped the chip board slightly."
Currently selling for $100 with 8 days left here.

Rip the Ripper Book

On January 23rd, 2009, Powell-Peralta hosted the Rip the Ripper Art Show. Fifty eight artists had pieces on display. The reason for the show was to celebrate The Ripper graphic. So many skaters and artists have been influenced by VCJ’s image over the years, we wanted to do something that would pay respect to VCJ and get skaters stoked. We invited a group of artists and asked them to interpret The Ripper in their own style. Curator: Désirée Astorga
The book is the culmination of passion, hard work and effort from this exhibit. It features the artwork that was created for The Rip the Ripper Art Show featured at ASR.The books will be available starting on July 19, 2009 in a 8″ X 8″ soft cover for $40.00, and a 10″ X 10″ hard cover for $75.00 at skateone.com.
In conjunction with the release of the Rip the Ripper Art Show Book, Powell Peralta is releasing a Limited Edition Powell Peralta Ripper Deck. Only 240 of these decks will be made. It features an unique shape (Gee Gaw) and our special pearlescent inks.

Tonight! PBaRT #4 SKRIPT x Proletariat

This Tuesday Proletariat is having it's 4th PBaRt event at the shop from 5-8pm, featuring local artist Skript. If you have been living under a hide-a-key rock, this is where they have some of their favorite artists come into the store and completely repaint the wall of skateboards, while you get to enjoy an ice-cold Pabst (21+ only) or an AMP energy drink/Redbull if you are under age.
The text on this entry was mostly stolen from a email Kerry from Proletariat sent me.
