More old skate stickers

Tuesday, April 28, 2009

I was looking for a picture of this old Rocco graphic when I came across . If you have a minute check out the site, they have a bunch of old skate stickers on there.

Lab Windows again?

I repainted the Lab Boston windows with good friends Enamel Kingdom and Kngee last friday night.

This week I found 2 original Bigfoot drawings on eBay for under $100. The first was this deck. Screen printed on the bottom and hand drawn on the back. It has no company written on it, but is numbered 32/50. This one sold pretty quick.
The second one was this "Countdown to Armageddon" drawing/ water color currently selling for $56.
Not a bad deal.

Shut Shark

While not in the best condition this Shut Shark has some crazy history and bonus art work. Here's the sellers description.
"Up for auction is a vintage SHUT SHARK skateboard from 1989. This skateboard was ridden by Sean Sheffey in the streets of New York City in the late 1980's. This is the skateboard that Sean Sheffey was riding when he was photographed by Bill Thomas at the Brooklyn banks for his full page Venture ad in Thrasher magazine. The same photograph was reprinted by Slap magazine in the mid 1990's. The skateboard can clearly be seen in the photograph. Some of the stickers are missing from the bottom but the outlines of where they once were still remain. The skateboard also has Sean Sheffeys grip tape art on the top."

Distroy Boston!

On Friday Fish and I ventured down to Space 242 to check out Magmo and Mca's Show opening. The show was amazing and it was good to see those guys. Enjoy the pictures!

Mike Giant Think Skateboards OG Art

Check out this eBay Gold! A one of a kind Mike Giant original drawing for Think Skateboards. It is believed that it was done in 1995 and from the looks of it was for a shirt or a board top graphic. The description did not say what they really used it for or if it ever went into production at all. I should have posted this before the auction was over, but I kind of had my eye on it. Ended up losing it in the end and someone scored it for the low price of $204.29. Worth every penny.

In way lamer eBay news some dip shit payed $51.49 for that piece of crap Mike Mcgill board I featured last week.

Be Aware

These are some photos from the Be Aware show at Mass Art. If you go there tonight all of the work is for free! Sorry about the crappy photos.

Grant Brittain Powell pro Model

Powell gave old timer skate photographer Grant Brittain a honorary pro model. Limited to 99 hand signed boards. Forget about getting one they are all already gone. Word is that they are doing 2 more of these. Who will be next?

This bad boy made it all the way up to $1105.00 and still didn't meet the reserve price. I know that Jason Lee boards bring in the big bucks, but how much was the reserve? Another question I have is who is paying all this crazy money for this shit? While having this deck on my wall would be rad, I would feel embarrassed to tell people I spent over $1100 hundred dollars on it.

Random weekend photos.

Sneak peek

This is a sneak peek of a Kevin Harris/ VCJ tribute board I'm doing for 7ply. More to come, but that all for now.

Mike Mcgill is a loser

Is there any product this dickwad wont put his name on these days. Look at this piece of crap. Look at that sick graphic! The seller on eBay had the balls to write "It is about 31 inches long and will display very nice". Who would ever want to display this? It's like he is on a one man mission to destroy his reputation and a tiny bit of my fond Bones Brigade childhood memories at the same time.

Oh yeah I forgot to say that it's made for sale only at Walmart.
